Privacy Policy

This page is a starting template, not legal advice — have it reviewed by counsel before relying on it for a live product.
Information we collect
When you create an account, we collect your email and a password (stored as a one-way hash, never in plain text). Caregivers can add a name, date of birth, phone number, city, certifications, experience, skills, languages, and an optional profile photo. Providers can add a facility name, city, phone number, and job postings. We record applications and their status history, and, if you use a referral code, who referred whom.
How we use it
We use your information to run the core service: matching caregivers and providers, processing applications, and sending transactional emails — verification codes, welcome messages, new-applicant notices, and status updates — to keep everyone informed as an application moves forward. We don't sell your data or use it for advertising.
Who can see your information
Caregiver profiles are visible to providers browsing candidates and to admins. Job postings are visible to caregivers browsing openings. When you apply to a job, the provider can see your profile details in that application; admins can see all application activity, since every hire requires admin approval.
Photos and file storage
Profile photos are uploaded to Cloudinary, a third-party image hosting service, and served from there. Emails are sent through our SMTP provider. Neither service is used for anything beyond storing and delivering what you explicitly upload or trigger.
Data retention & deletion
We keep your data as long as your account is active. You can ask us to delete your account and associated data at any time through Support — this removes your profile, postings, and applications.
Security
Passwords are hashed, sessions are signed tokens with an expiration, and access to profiles, postings, and applications is checked on every request — not just hidden in the interface. No system is perfectly secure, and we can't guarantee absolute protection against every possible attack.
Children's privacy
CareXPrime is intended for adults seeking or offering caregiving work, and is not directed at children. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
